WAPCo’s Completes Heat Exchanger Inspection

WAPCo’s Lagos Beach Compressor Station (LBCS) facility has completed its scheduled 5-year statutory inspection of key heat exchangers. The inspection, which ran from November 19 to December 6, 2025, covered the air gas coolers for Trains 1 and 2, turbine lube oil coolers, and the gas generator lubricant cooler.

These heat exchangers play a vital role in maintaining safe and efficient operations by removing heat from high-pressure gas streams. The inspection is part of WAPCo’s integrity management plan, introduced after previous equipment failures highlighted the need for regular monitoring.
