WAPCo Announces Leadership Transition in Corporate Affairs

The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) announces a leadership transition within its Corporate Affairs Division, with the conclusion of the tenure of Dr. Isaac Adjei Doku and the appointment of Mrs. Angela Yasmin Heymann as General Manager, Corporate Affairs.

Conclusion of Tenure – Dr. Isaac Adjei Doku

Dr. Isaac Adjei Doku will conclude his tenure as General Manager, Corporate Affairs, effective June 30, 2026, after over five years of distinguished service to the Company.

During his tenure, Dr. Doku provided strong leadership to the Corporate Affairs function and contributed significantly to corporate policy development, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications. He is widely recognised for his commitment to staff welfare, his collaborative and open leadership style, and his role in fostering a culture of professionalism across the organisation.

Dr. Doku also served as a mentor to many and played a key role in strengthening relationships with stakeholders across WAPCo’s operational jurisdictions.

WAPCo expresses its sincere appreciation to Dr. Doku for his dedication and valuable contributions and wishes him continued success in his future endeavours.

Appointment of Mrs. Angela Yasmin Heymann

The Board has appointed Mrs. Angela Yasmin Heymann as General Manager, Corporate Affairs, effective July 1, 2026.

Mrs. Heymann is an accomplished senior legal and governance executive with over 30 years of experience across the energy, finance, and public sectors. She brings extensive expertise in corporate governance, regulatory strategy, compliance, and board advisory.

She has led complex commercial negotiations, supported the development of regulatory frameworks, and advised boards of state-owned enterprises. Her experience also includes structuring high-value financing transactions, cross-border agreements, and infrastructure projects.

Mrs. Heymann is recognised for building strong institutional relationships and has worked closely with key public sector stakeholders, including the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), and the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo).

She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Banking & International Finance from University College London, a Qualifying Certificate of Law (BL) from the Ghana School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Her appointment reflects WAPCo’s continued commitment to strong governance, effective stakeholder engagement, and sustainable business growth.
