The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) is pleased to offer academic SCHOLARSHIPS to a limited number of undergraduate students who have registered a degree or HND program in a college or a university in Ghana. The award starts from the 2024/25 Academic Year.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a resident/indigene of Tema Manhean, Kpone in the Kpone – Katamanso Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region or Aboadze, Abuesi, Dwomo, Lower Inchaban, and Shama in the Shama District of the Western Region of Ghana.
- Have graduated from high school and gained admission into an accredited university or polytechnic in Ghana for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
- Be registered as a student in an undergraduate program.
Be in Level 200 at the beginning of the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
Application
- Tema & Kpone: Interested applicants should contact the Registrar of the Tema Traditional Council to obtain application forms.
- Shama District: Interested applicants should contact the Assembly Member of the applicant’s community to obtain application forms.
Application Deadline
- Tema & Kpone: Completed application forms should be submitted to the Registrar of Tema Traditional Council or the Assembly Member of the applicant’s Electoral Area on or before the 20th of September 2024.
- Shama District: The completed application forms should be submitted to the Assembly Member of the applicant’s community on or before the 20th of September 2024.
Selection
All applicants shall undergo an interview. The date of the interview will be communicated to every applicant by the Livelihood Implementation Committee and the Assembly Member(s) of your community. Successful applicants shall be notified in writing.
